Iqraar - By Chance was a social movie released on October 6, 2006 under the banner of J-71 Studio. The movie was directed by K Ravi Shankar and produced by Reeta J Shukla. The lead roles were played by Arbaaz Khan, Rahul Dev, Shilpa Shivanand and Amarjeet Shukla while the supporting roles were played by Deepa Bakshi, Tiku Talsania and Manoj Pahwa. The music had been directed by Sandesh Shandilya and Dj Chetas and the songs were sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Kakkar, Sonu Nigam and Kunal Ganjawala.

The movie Iqraar - By Chance is more than a love story as the director has tried to combine various other elements in the film like terrorism, comedy and romantic songs along with the romance which is the basic theme of the film. The plot of the movie is nothing new and this is why it lacks on popularity. The story of the movie is about Raj ( Amarjeet ) who works a DJ in a disco and is a liar by nature. Rashmi ( Shilpa Anand ) is the daughter of a rich industrialist and as one can expect she doesn’t respect money. She once even challenged her father that, if needed, she would easily get a job worth £ 5,000 per month.

Raj’s boss ( Manoj Pahwa ) was so impressed by him that he and his wife ( Upasana Singh ) asked him to marry their daughter. But the twist was that their daughter loved Sanju ( Aslam Khan ), Raj’s best friend. Raj decided to help the love birds by telling a lie to their boss that he is already married. Raj found himself in a pit when his boss asked him to meet his wife. Meanwhile, Rashmi joins a FM channel and promises her boss ( Tiku Talsania ) that her first assignment would be a reality show. She made a plan to pretend to fall in love with a guy and dump him later.
