Jaal - The Trap was a romantic action movie released on July 18, 2003 under the banner of Parth Productions. The movie was directed by Guddu Dhanoa and produced by Harish Shah. The major roles were played by Sunny Deol, Reema Sen, Tabu and Amrish Puri while Anupam Kher and Aashish Vidyarthi were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Anand Raj Anand and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Shaswati, Chitra, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and K K.

Jaal - The Trap was an action thriller movie that explored the life of the people in the military. The movie starts when there was an attempt by some militants to kidnap Anita ( Reema Sen ) in New Zealand but was saved by the help of Major Kaul ( Amrish Puri ) and his army. Major Kaul comes to Shimla for the wedding of his daughter. His son Ajay ( Sunny Deol ) is also in love with Neha ( Tabu ). Major wanted him to work with him but he was not ready to leave his love and his country. Neha is a widow and Ajay know about the fact.

Neha’s father-in-law ( Anupam Kher ) was also against the marriage initially but he agreed with the wedding after some time. The same militants and their leader ( Mukesh Rishi ) kidnap Neha and now they want Ajay to kidnap Anita for them and give her to them if he want Neha in return. Ajay goes to New Zealand and when he comes across Anita, she falls for him. He was not interested in her and was waiting the opportunity to come when he will kidnap her. He soon gets the opportunity.
