Ajay Devgan and Twinkle Khanna starrer romantic action thriller, Jaan, was released in the year 1996. The movie was directed by Raj Kanwar and written by Kamlesh Pandey. The other starcast of the movie includes Amrish Puri, Vivek Mushran, Shakti Kapoor, Rakhee Gulzar, Suresh Oberoi, Johnny Lever, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Aruna Irani in important characters. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the music director duo Anand Milind while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Sapna Mukherjee, Alka yagnik etc.

Young and beautiful Kajal ( Twinkle Khanna ) is a daughter of Police Commissioner Suryadev Singh ( Amrish Puri ). Suryadev’s brother, Vishamber ( Suresh Oberoi ) is a criminal in reality and he wants to kidnap Kajal at any cost so that he can blackmail Suryadev. Suryadev has no clue about his intentions. Suryadev appoints a guy named Karan ( Ajay Devgan ) for protecting Kajal. Little does he knows is that Karan is actually the guy that has been hired by Vishamber to kidnap Kajal.

Kajal falls in love with Karan but Karan tries to avoid her. Finally Kajal manage to make him fall in love with her. Now Karan decides to protect Kajal from every problem. But he himself gets into a big problem when Suryadev reveals about his reality. Kajal and Karan elopes together from the house and now on a run from Police and Vishamber’s goons. What will be the end of this love story?
