Bollywood movie, Jaaydaad, directed by Dilip Naik and written by Anwar Khan was released in the year 1989. The movie starred Shashi Kapoor and Madhavi in lead roles while Raj Babbar, Aruna Irani, Krishna Chauhan, Anupam Kher, Gurbachchan Singh, Sudhir Dalkvi, Satyendra Kapoor, Nivedita Saraf and Bharat Kapoor also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by none other than well known music director Anu malik while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Aziz, Shabbir Kumar, Amit Kumar Ganguly, Alka Yagnik, Usha Mangeshkar and Anuradha Paudwal.

The movie starts with a women named Anjali ( Madhavi ), who is and advocate by profession. She had been betrayed in love and therefore she hates all men. She is assigned as the public prosecutor for the case of Rajesh Srivastava ( Raj Babbar ) and she is detemined to ensure that Rajesh gets hanged for the crime he had performed. She get suceed in her intentions. Then she give an offer to Rajesh according to which she will give a sum of Rs 5 lakh to him for hisfamil and in returns he will have to get married with her.

She also makes it very clear to him that he will have to spend the rest of his life following her instruction. Soon they both get married to each other. It is then Rajesh reveals that Anjali forced him to marry her in order to fullfill her parent’s will only after which she can inherit the wealth. Rajesh then starts showning his true colours which make Anjali to think again about him.
