Jai Santoshi Maa was a devotional movie released on September 29, 2006 under the banner of Percept Picture Company. The movie was directed by Ahmed Siddiqui and produced by Shailendra Singh. The important roles in the film were played by Nushrat Bharucha, Lalit Tiwari, Rakesh Bapat and Sanjay Swaraj, Raj Khan and Anisha Hinduja. The music of the film had been directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Usha Mangeshkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Alka Yagnik and Suresh Wadkar.

The movie Jai Santoshi Maa was earlier thought to be titled as Phir Jagaiye Apna Vishwaas and revolves around two persons Mahima ( Nushrat Bharucha ) and Anuraag ( Rakesh Bapat ). Mahima is a girl from small town married to a man of her dreams now but faces several difficult occasions in her life. It was her true faith in Santoshi Maa that helps her become a confident woman. Anuraag is a carefree happy go lucky guy who likes music very much. It was the blessings of Santoshi Maa that transformed him to a responsible man who was pursuing his dreams.

The movie displays the fact that true faith in God can change one’s life completely and help them move forward. Mahima’s father was a music teacher and her mother was a devotee of Santoshi Maa. She got married to her love Anuraag, a musician by heart, but initially his family was against their marriage. Mahima served her in-laws with due respect and love but she received pain and sorrow from them. Mahima started worshipping Santoshi Maa and also kept fasts for the Goddess. Santoshi Maa eliminates all her problems and also showers success over her husband. Maa granted her wishes and her life was again full of happiness.
