Bollywood action drama, Jheel Ke Us Paar, directed by Bhappi Sonie and written by Nabendu Ghosh was released on August 28, 1973. The movie starred Dharmendra and Mumtaz in lead roles while Ranjeet, Urmila Bhatt, Pran, Yogeeta Bali, Prem Chopra, Iftekhar, Mehmod Junior and Anwar Hussain also played significant characters in the film. The meldoious music of the movie was directed by none other than famous music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a young and handsome guy named Sameer Rai ( Dharmendra ), who lives alongwith his father named Kulwant Rai. He is in love with a beautiful girl named Neelu ( Mumtaz ), who is blind. Sameer wants to get married with Neelu but his mother doesn’t allow him to do so. She wants Sameer to ge married with another girl named Jugnu ( Yogeeta Bali ), who is the daughter of Diwanji ( Iftekhar ). jugnu wanst to marry Sameer anyhow and with the help of his mother humilaites Neelu as a result of which Neelu decides to go away from Sameer’s life.

When Sameer comes to know about this, he convinces to Neelu that he will marry her only and no one else. He then decides to attempt for getting Neelu’s vision back. He brings her to the doctor for checkup. Doctor tells him that there are chances for getting back Neelu’s vision. Sameer arranges for the moeny required for the operation of Neelu. On the otherhand, Jugnu makes a plan to get rid of Neelu. What will happen next?
