The movie Jimmy was released on May 9, 2008 under the banner of High-Definition Motion Pictures. The movie comes under the genre of social and suspense. The movie has been directed by Raj N Sippy and produced by Nawman Malik and Salman Malik. The star casts of the movie are Mimoh Chakraborty, Vallabh Vyas, Shakti Kapoor, Ehsaan Khan, Rati Agnihotri, Vikas Kalantri, Zulfi Syed, Rahul Dev,  Nilofer, Pooja Singh,  Aashish Vidyarthi and Adi Irani. The music of the film has been directed by Anand Raj Anand, Bappa Lahri and Vijay Verma and the singers of the movie are Debojit Saha, Shaan, Anand Raj Anand, Kailash Kher, Vijay Verma and Kunal Ganjawala.

The movie Jimmy is the first movie for the debutant Mimoh, son of Mithun Chakraborty. The movie didn’t do good inspite or infact of Mimoh’s broad shouldered, heavy physique, long hair and expressionless acting. It would need him talent, hardwork and determination along with the dreams of getting fame. The movie starts with an item number by Jimmy ( Mimoh Chakraborty ). Jimmy is an automobile engineer working very hard in day time so that he can earn and lend back amount of thirty five lacs for maing his father debt free. He is a Dj at a Disco in the night time and more than he handles his discs, he likes to tap his feet. He is very passionate about music and dancing and so is quite popular among girls.

On meeting Megha ( Vivana ), Jimmy falls in love with her. Megha’s father, the owner of a shipping company, wants to marry Megha to his colleague’s son Sumer ( Vikash Kalantri ). Jimmy believed that he had brain tumour and thus wants to spend his days with Megha only. And that is why; he also took accusation of a murder case in lieu of money so that he can make his father debt free. But later he finds that the report was fake and he was pretty safe. He also finds that this whole trick was planned by his friend ( Zulfi Saiyad ) who wished to grab Megha from Jimmy.
