Bollywood movie, Jodi No. 1, directed by David Dhawan was released on April 13,2001. The movie starred Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Twinkle Khanna and Monica Bedi played the lead roles while Anupam Kher, Shakti Kapoor, Mukesh Rishi and Ashish Vidhyarthi also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by Anand Raj Anand and Himesh Reshamiya while the songs were sung by Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan, Hans Raj Hans, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. There is a hit item song performed by former bollywood actress, Pooja Batra in the film. The movie performed well at the box office.

The movie starts with two criminals, Jai ( Sanjay Dutt ) and Veeru ( Govinda ). They enters in Rai Bahadur’s ( Anupam Kher ) home pretending to be Vikramjit, his friend’s son and his assistant. Rai Bahadur’s family comprises of his three brother, Raman ( Ajit Vachani ), Kamal ( Anil Dhawan ), Ashok ( Ashok Saraf ) and their wives and children. Rai bahadur also has a daughter named Rinki Rai ( Monica Bedi ), who is young and beautiful. Intially, Jai and Veeru plan to perform a robbery at that place but later changes their mind.

Both Jai and Veeru starts helping Rai Bahadur in their business and soon solves all the problems of him. They also manage to bring Rai Bahadur’s brothers more close to him. Meanwhile, Jai fall in love with Rinki and Veeru also finds a girl named Tina ( Twinkle Khanna ) for him. But the problem arises when police officer, Shakti Singh ( Shakti Kapoor ), comes in the same city. Now what will happen to Jai and Veeru’s life?
