Bollywood comic action movie, Johar Mehmood In Goa, directed by I. S. Johar was released on April 1, 1965. The movie starred Mehmood, I. S. Johar and Simi Grewal in lead roles while Leela Chitnis, Sonia Sahni, Mumtaz Begum, Ulhas, Raza Murad, Sulochana Latkar, Kamal Kapoor and Tun Tun also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the veteran music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Shamshad Begum, Suman Kalyanpur etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Peter ( Surendra Nath ), who suddenly goes missing after his re-joining to his regiment to go to war. He is believed to be dead leaving behind his devastated wife, Mary ( Sulochana Latkar ). Mary then gives birth to twins and leaves them on the doorsteps of a family. She herself becomes a nun. Years later, Mary is now Mother Superior while Peter, who is still alive, is the deputy superintendent of Police in Goa. Peter has been assigned the task of capturing two revolutionaries by the name of Ram ( I. S. Johar ) and Rahim ( Mehmood ).

Ram and Rahim joins hand with a dreaded bandit named Daler Singh. They then abducts the daughter of Goa’s hakim, Rita ( Sonia Sahni ) with the help of Daler. They even set the house of arrogant superindent of Police, Alburqueue ( Kamal Kapoor ), on fire. Peter is now determined to arrest these two guys but little does he knows is that Ram and Rahim is his own sons.
