Bollywood family drama, Joroo Ka Ghulam, directed by A. Bhimsingh and written by Akhtar-Ul-Iman was released on September 7, 1972. The movie starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda in lead roles while Sharad Kumar, Ramesh deo, Mridula Rani, Manisha, Gurnam Singh, Jayshree T, nana Palsiker, Om Prakash and Achala Sachdev also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the well known veteran music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were crooned by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Rajesh ( Rajesh Khanna ), who lives a poor lifestyle in the city. He meets with a beautiful girl named Kalpana ( Nanda ) and soon they both falls in love with each other. Kalpana though belongs to a rich family and her father wants her to get married with the son of his close friend. However, Kalpana refuse to do so and her enraged father then ask her to leave the house. Kalpana moves out of the house and get married with Rajesh. Soon she gives birth to a child. Kalpana is still in contact with her mother.

Soon their fortune turn other way and Rajesh manage to get a good job. They own a bunglaw and starts living a rich lifestyle. Kalpana’s parenst then decides to go to meet their grand son. But once again destiny strikes and rajesh looses his job. Now Kalpana has no other option left but to stop her parents from visting their house. Or else she should find an alternative to convince her parents that she is living a happy life with Rajesh and her son.
