Bollywood romantic drama, Judaai, directed by Raj Kanwar was released on February 1, 1997. The movie starred Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Urmila Matondkar in lead roles while Paresh Rawal, Saeed Jaffrey, Farida Jalal and Johnny Lever. The superhit music of the film was given by famous music director duo Nadeem Shrawan while the songs wee sung by Abhijeet, Amit Kumar, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Vinod Rathod, Jaspinder Narula, Alka Yagnik and Bali Brahmbhatt. The movie did well at the box office.

The movie starts with Raj Verma ( Anil Kapoor ), who is an engineer by profession but a honest one. He get married with a beauiful women named Kajal ( Sridevi ). Kajal is an ambitious wome who wants to live a high profile life. She forces Raj to become corrupt so that she can fulfill all her dreams and needs. Kajal’s dad ( Kader Khan ) also encourages her to force Raj to use his position for making more money. With the passage of time, Raj becomes used to to her bad words but never tries to do any wrong work.

Now Raj and Kajal are parents of two sweet children. But still there is no change in Kajal’s mentality. She still dreams of having a big house and a luxury life. Then enters Jahnvi ( Urmila Matondkar ), who is the daughter of Raj’s boss, Mr. Sahni ( Saeed Jaffrey ). Jahnvi falls in love with Raj and wants to marry him at any cost. Raj refuses but Kajal agrees when Jahnvi offers a large sum of money to her in exchange of becoming Raj’s second wife. But this single decision of Kajal changes her life forever.
