Bollywood comedy action thriller, Judwaa, directed by David Dhawan was released in the year 1997. The movie starred Salman Khan and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles while Kadar Khan, Dalip Tahil, Rambha, Bindu, Tiku Talsania, Shakti Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Mukesh Rishi and Reema Lagoo also played important charcaters in the film. The music of the film was given by Anu Malik while the songs were rendered by Anu Malik, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Poornima etc. The movie was a blockbuster hit and is still rembered for Salman’s double act.

The movie starts with two twin brothers, Prem and Raja ( Salman Khan ), who were seperated in their childhood. Prem is living with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Malhotra while Raja is living as an orphan with his best friend, Rangeela ( Shakti Kapoor ). Raja is a conman while Prem is a singer by profession. Prem returns to India for performing his show and there he meets with beautiful, Roopa ( Rambha ), who is also a singer and dancer. Prem falls in love with her. But his problem is that his father’s close friend, Mr. Sharma ( Kadar Khan ) forces him to spend more time with his daughter, Mala ( Karishma Kapoor ).

On the contrary, Mala loves conman Raja and wants to get married with him. She assumes Prem as Raja and flirts with him. Raja is also taken as Prem by Roopa and this creates some very funny sequences. Prem is a sincere and cool nature type of a guy while Raja is just opposite to it. Tiger Ratanlal ( Mukesh Rishi ) is a criminal who is beated by Raja when he tries to misbehave with his sister. Tiger is the son of the criminal killed by Prem’s father in an encounter and he is seeking a revenge now from him.
