Julie was released on July 23, 2004 under the banner of V R Entertainers. The movie was directed by Deepak Shivdasani and produced by N R Pachisia. The lead roles were played by the actors Sanjay Kapoor, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Neha Dhupia and Yash Tonk while the supporting roles were played by Achint Kaur and Anil Nagrath. The music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Jayesh Gandhi, Anuradha Paudwal, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam.

One can see a daring move by the actress Neha Dhupia in the film Julie playing a role of bold girl in the movie and also giving some steamy scenes. The story is about a multi millionaire and a rich business personality Mihir Shandilya ( Priyanshu Chatterjee ) who has become an icon of India at a young age. Some day he is invited by a television channel host who questions about his success and his life partner. He agrees that there is one person in his life whom he would like to propose marriage. Host then decides to invite both of them for a show.

Mihir asked Julie ( Neha Dhupia ) to marry him, once on a business trip, and is expecting the answer to be yes when he is back. Even Julie wanted to come on the same program as she wants to talk about herself and accept that she is a prostitute by profession, the fact unknown to Mihir and his family. She was a normal girl until one day certain calamity struck her and she lost her love Neil ( Yash Tonk ). She decided to be independent and came across an enterprising man Rohan ( Sanjay Kapoor ) who surprised her by proposing marriage.
