Kabzaa was an action thriller that was released in the year of 1988. The movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Nanabhai Bhatt. The top roles in the movie were enacted by Sanjay Dutt, Raj Babbar, Amrita Singh and Dimple Kapadia while the presence of Alok Nath, Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Rajesh Roshan while the songs were sung by Mohammad Aziz, Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam and Kishore Kumar.

Kabzaa was an action thriller that dealt mostly with criminal and a lawyer handling his case. The story of the movie is about Ranjit Verma ( Raj Babbar ) who is a lawyer and handling the case of a criminal named Veljibhai Soda ( Paresh Rawal ). Ranjit has a brother, Ravi ( Sanjay Dutt ) who also got involved with the criminal Veljibhai as his brother was fully associated with him. Veljibhai trusts Ravi and asks him to threaten Ustad Ali Mohammed ( Aloknath ), so that he can take possession of his property.

But Ustad Ali is not frightened by Ravi or Veljibhai and his men, and a corrupt police inspector ( Avtar Gill ) and refuses to let go of this property. Ravi develops a soft corner for Ustad Ali and thus becomes his follower. This thing was not liked by Velji, and Ranjit who then wanted to talk to him but of no use. Veljibhai then takes things into his own hands and wanted to get rid of not only Ustad Ali, but also Ravi, and Ranjit as well.
