Kal Ki Awaz was an action movie released on August 21, 1992 under the banner of B R Films. The movie was directed by Ravi Chopra and B R Chopra while it was produced by B R Chopra. The lead roles in the movie were enacted by Dharmendra, Raj Babbar, Amrita Singh and Priti while the roles of Rohit Bhatia, Farida Jalal, Puneet Issar and Pratibha Sinha were equally important. Music of the film was directed by Nadeem Saifee and Shravan Kumar and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam and Asha Bhosle.

Though the name of the movie Kal Ki Awaz might give you a different theme of the film, it was actually an action movie with the action star Dharmendra playing the lead. The movie showcases the backdrop of time when India was plagued with the kidnapping of the children belonging to the upper rich class and the kidnappers demanding huge sum of money to release them. The Police Commissioner Hamza Sheikh gets retired and this makes way for the new DSP Ali Haider Jaffri ( Dharmendra ) who takes the charge over.

Soon Ali Haider took the charge; he proved his abilities by arresting the gang of bank robbers who were robbing the bank, though he did involve the life of a customer at risk. One day, the son of Continental Bank Chairman, Srivastav is kidnapped and is demanded a huge amount of money by the kidnappers. Ali handles the case but was unable to save the child, thus he was now criticized by the public. The twist in the story comes when her own daughter Shagufa Haider Jaffri ( Pratibha Sinha ) is kidnapped with her would be husband Naseeruddin Ahmed ( Rohit Bhatia ).
