Kalyug Aur Ramayan was a social drama released on April 24, 1987. The movie was directed by Babubhai Mistri and produced by Shashi Goswami. The actors in the lead roles were Manoj Kumar, Madhavi, Prem Chopra and Rahul while the supporting roles were played by Rajeev Goswami, Shashikala, Satish Shah, Om Prakash, Bindu, Huma Khan and Urmila Bhatt. The movie was also edited by none other than Manoj Kumar.

Kalyug Aur Ramayan was a social and mythological movie that explores the mythological story of Lord Rama and what he will be doing if he visits this dark aged (Kalyug) India. The story of the movie starts with Bhagwan Shri Ram who wanted his prime devotee Shri Hanuman to visit Kalyug and see the difference to what has happened to this place. Shri Hanuman ( Manoj Kumar ) comes to dark aged India where was mistaken to be a foreign spy by Police Inspector Thakur Hanuman Singh ( Satish Shah ).

Shri Hanuman was on a run with the police until Bhagwan Ram decides to change his appearance to a wealthy man named Pavan Kumar. Pavan comes across a man named Dashrath ( Om Prakash ), who has two sons Raman ( Rajeev Goswami ) and Dhaman ( Rahul ). While Raman is married to Sarita ( Madhavi ), Dhaman wants to impress Nirmala ( Sonika Gill ), and Dashrath’s wife is the fashionable Kamla ( Bindu ), who looks more like his daughter than his wife.
