Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut, was born on March 23, 1987 in Himachal Pradesh, India. Her father Amardeep Ranaut is a business man and her mother Asha Ranaut is a scholl teacher by profession. She is the second child of the three childrens of her parents. Kangana made her debut in bollywood industry with Mahesh Bhatt’s Gangster in which she co-starred Shiney Ahuja and ’serial kisser’, Emraan Hashmi. The movie was well recieved by the audiences as well as by critics. Her excellent act in the movie earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and also the Filmfare Face of the Year.

After that she was seen in Woh Lamhe. In this film she once again worked with Shiney Ahuja. Her performance in the film was especially applauded by the audience. Later she starred in yet another Anurag Basu’s film titled Life In A Metro. After three back to back hit films, she delivered her first flop in the form of Bobby Deol starrer Shaka Laka Boom Boom. Recently, she has been approached for doing a US-based film entitled Between the Night and the Moon. The movie is to be directed by Italian Director Gilda Pianelli. She is also having a series of bollywood films including Fashion, Raaz 2 and Kites.
