Bollywood action suspnse thriller, Karishma Kudrat Ka, directed by Sunil Hingorani was released in the year 1985. The movie starred Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborthy and Rati Agnihotri in lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Deep Dhillon, Dinesh Hingoo, Saeed Jaffrey, Urmila Bhatt, Praveen Kumar, Mehmood Junior, Raj Mehra, Anita Raj, Jagdish Raj and Ram Mohan also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the movie was given by the veteran music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Sadhana Sargam and Suresh Wadkar.

The movie starts with a guy named Vijay ( Dharmendra ), who is a simple-minded widower and lives with son and his unmarried sister, Radha ( Rati Agnihotri ) in a village. Vijay witnesses the murder of a child and recognizes the murderer, who is actually a notorious bandit named Bhagat Singh ( Shakti Kapoor ). Bhagat Singh brutally beats him alongwith his mens and left for dead. A criminal named Karan, who is exactly the look alike of Vijay, sees him in the unconscious state and immediately throws him from a top of cliff to ensure that he is dead so that he can replace him. Karan moves to the village and pretends to be Vijay in front of his family.

Karan’s only motive is to hide in Vijay’s home for some time untill police force stops his search. Karan starst going to the brothel run by Kammobai ( Lalita Kumari ). Karan realizes that he can make money easily by selling Vijay’s sister, Radha, to the brothel. He tries to apply his dirty plan in real but what happenend next changes him totally. He now decides to become a good person and even desires to live with the name of Vijay to his whole life. But is this possible for a notorious criminal to live a simple and poor life?
