Katrina Kaif is a Hong Kong born Indian film actress. She was born on June 16, 1984. She started modelling at the age of just fourteen. Later she was discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who provided her a role in his film bold film, Boom. However, her debut film includes the big names of bollywood industry such as Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shrauff and Gulshan Grover but still the film failed to do well at the box office. After that she moved to Mumbai and started working in bollywood films. She started off with a cameo appearnce in Abhishek Bachchan starrer Sarkar. Filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her in their films because of her shortcomings in speaking fluent Hindi. In most of her films, she usually had her voice dubbed over by some other person.

Her boyfriend, Salman Khan, introduced her in a lead role in romantic comedy Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. The film recieved good response from the audience and became Katrina’s first successful film. She also did some movies down south and recieved good response from audiences. After that she made a collaboration with Akshay Kumar and delievered a hit film in the form of Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye. In the year 2007, she gave four back to back hit films to bollywood industry.

She was first seen in Vipul Shah’s Namastey London opposite Akshay Kumar. The film went on to become the first big hit of her in the year 2007. After that she starred opposite Bobby Deol in Apne and then opposite Govinda in Partner. Her last successful film of that year was Welcome, once again opposite Akshay Kumar. She was nextseen in 2008 released action thriller Race. She played a negative role for the first time in her acting career in this film. Her latest release Singh Is King is also doing good at the box office. Her upcoming project includes Salman Khan starrer Yuvraaj and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
