Kayda Kanoon was an action movie released on June 11, 1993 under the banner of Rukhmanjee Art. The movie was directed by Pradeep Mani and the producer of the movie was Suresh Sharma. The top roles in the movie were played by Akhshay Kumar, Shika Swaroop, Sudesh Barry and Paresh Rawal. Other good roles were played by Anupam Kher, Kader Khan and Tinu Anand. The music directors were Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the singers were Sadhana Sargam, Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan.

The movie portrays Sinha ( Anupam Kher ) as a person who totally believed in law and always wanted to go the legal way. He became really sad when he watches people going the wrong way and not following law and order. Much to his displease his own son Krishan ( Sudesh Berry ) who after struggling a lot became the police inspector shows anger and power of his job over poor and destitute. Once Sinha views a dual murder by a criminal, Balu and rushes to the police station to file a complaint.

In the police station, Sinha is insulted and told that Balu was not in town then how can he murder someone. Sinha seeks the help oh higher officials to get Balu arrested but was shocked to now that his daughter and son have been killed and his daughter in law is missing. Sinha’s faith on law was thrashed and he felt ashamed of himself for trusting the system where everyone seeks his benefit. The director had done good work. The movie presents some very beautiful songs.
