Yesteryear bollywood comic caper, Khel Khel Mein, directed by Ravi Tandon was released in the year 1975. The movie starred Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh in lead roles while Rakesh Roshan, Iftekhar, Kamal Kapoor, Dev Kumar, Yunus Parvez, Hari Shivdasani and Chand Usmani also played important roles in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by none other than legend music director Rahul Dev Burman while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Shailendra Singh and Rahul Dev Bruman himself. The movie was a huge box office hit of that year.

The movie starts with young and charming Ajay Anand ( Rishi Kapoor ), who gets addmission in a college. His first few days in the hostel of college includes ragging and ends resulting friendship between Vikram ( Rakesh Roshan ) and his friends. Vikram is the fun guy who is fond of playing pranks on every collegians and infact persons from outside of the college too. Ajay meets witha beautiful girl named Nisha in the college and they bothe falls in love with each other after few more meetings.

One day, Vikram and Ajay decides to play a prank on Ghanshyamdas Johari ( Jankidas ). They ask him for a ransom of Rs. 5000 on telephone. They uses the name of ‘Black Cobra’ gang for demanding this ransom from Ghanshyamdas. They get the money from him but to their shock they learns that Ghanshyamdas is no more alive in this world. And much to their badluck, the imaginative gang, ‘Black Cobra’ comes out to be a real gang. What will happen with Ajay and Vikram now? Will they be able to overcome from this proble?
