Bollywood romantic comedy, Khilaaf, directed by Rajeev Nagpal was released in the year 1990. The movie starred Chunky Pandey and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles while Mahesh Anand, Rekha Parmar, Anupam Kher, Aruna Irani, Babloo Mukherjee, Dina Pathak, Om Shivpuri, Manik Irani and Nadira also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon veteran music director duo Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Alka yagnik etc.

The movie starts with a young and handsome guy named Vicky ( Chunky pandey ), who lives a poor lifestyle in the city. He meets witha beautiful girl named Shweta ( Madhuri Dixit ) and instantly falls in love with her. After some initial fightings, Shweta too falls in love with Vicky. But the problem is that Shweta is from a wealthy family and Vicky is poor guy. Shweta family refuse to accept Vicky as their son-in-law and instead arranges her marraige with another guy.

Vicky and Shweta then decides to run away from ther so that they can get married in any temple. But before that could happen, Vicky is severely beaen up by some goons. How Vicky and Shweta manage to convince he family about their true love is the rest of the story.
