Bollywood crime thriller, Khote Sikkey, directed by Partho Ghosh and written by Ranbir Pushp was released in the year 1988. The movie starred Ayub Khan and Madhoo in lead roles while Anjali Jathar, Dinesh Hingoo, Atul Agnihotri, Ramesh Goyal, Arun Ghosh and Shashi Kiran also played important roles in the film. The music of the movie was composed by the very famous music director Rajesh Roshan while the songs were crooned by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Hema Sardesai and Poornima.

The movie starts with two conmens named Rohit ( Atul Agnihotri ) and Vijay ( Ayub Khan ), who are arrested by Inspector Ajay Sinha ( Krishan Oberoi ), when they tries to extort money from some people impersonating police officers. But theu duo manage to escape from there with the help of another person who was inside the cell. Vijay, Rohit and that guy are now a run from the police and in the process the guy gets killed. But before his death, the guy tells the two about his boss underworld don, Pukhraj Mahadevan ( Suresh Oberoi ).

Vijay and Rohit then goes to Pukhraj who recruits them in his gang. They all then team up to perform robbery in a bank. Pukhraj is arrested by Ajay Sinha while performing robbery in the bank while Vijay and Rohit manage to escape from there. Pukraj is then presented in front of court by the police but he not only manage to prove himself innocent but also embarrass Ajay in front of the court.
