The Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye has been released on April 4, 2008 under the banner of Shoman Production. The movie is directed by Shoaib Mansoor and features Naseruddin Shah, Iman Ali and Larry Neumann Jr in main roles while the other actors of the movie are Shan, Fawad Khan, Rasheed Naaz, Simi Reheal, Austin Marie Sayre and Hameed Shiekh. The movie is produced by GEOFilms. Khuda Kay Liye has become the first ever Pakistani Film to be screened at the Indian theatres. The film is different than same romantic films and raises a serious issue.

The movie is definitely different from the other Pakistani films and displays a social message. The story of the movie depicts the difficult situation faced by the Muslims and the Pakistanis since the attack of 9/11 on America. Tensions have been rising between the Fundamentalists and the liberal Muslims who are facing opposal from outside. The film depicts the wisdom of their religion Islam and how the people modify it for their own benefits. The topic of the film has to be really appreciated. The life of the Muslim people has become miserable and they are not only facing opposition from outside but within their community as well.

The people from western world see the Muslim people as the suspects for terrorism because of their Muslim names. The educated Muslims faced more difficult situations. The movie is about two brothers, the elder brother Mansoor ( Shan ) wanted to make his career in music and thus leaves for U.S. while the younger one Sarmad ( Fawad Khan ) was so influenced by the sayings of fundamentalists that he got changed completely after he joined the group. Sarmad was forced to marry his cousin from London Mary while Mansoor falls for American girl Janie. After the attack of 9/11, Mansoor finds it difficult for him to live there as he was now suspected as a terrorist.
