Kirkit is a sports and comedy film that is soon going to release in June 2009. The production of the movie has been completed and is purely a sports based film. The main roles in the movie are played by Sayali Bhagat, Johny Lever and Sanjay Kapoor while the presence of Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff Kota Srinivas Rao and Tanikella Bharini supports the film. The music of the film is directed by Shashi Pritam while the songs are sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Usha Uthup, Marcia Barette and Shaan.

What can be a better film to release this season with the fever of Cricket taking all over the country? The movie Kirkit, as the name of the title suggests is a Cricket based film which hopes of making news since the month is full of Cricket with the ICC World T20 cup and just after the completion of IPL. The movie is a fun rollercoaster with perfect twists and turns. The story of the movie revolves mostly around two groups of five boys each from Mumbai and Hyderabad.

The boys are on their trip to Goa on thei holidays but their destinies have something different for them in store. As expected, the boys were involved in small brawls with each other. The twist in the movie comes when the two groups decide to resolve the matter over a tennis-ball cricket match and guess what the name of their respective teams were Mumbai Vadapavs and Hyderabadi Biryanis. The movie sports the tagline as Kitkit +Cricket= Kirkit.
