The romantic comedy Kisi Se Na Kehna was released in the year of 1983. The movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and produced by Ashok and Jaywant Pathare. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Farooq Sheikh, Utpal Dutt, Deepti Naval and Saeed Jaffrey while Deven Verma, Lalita Kumari, Asha Sharma, Ketaki Dave, Yunus Parvez and S N Bannerjee were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Bappi Lahiri and Asha Bhosle.

The movie Kisi Se Na Kehna was a romantic cum comic film that revolved mostly around a man named Kailashnath ( Utpal Dutt ) who is a widowed person and is a father of his only son named Ramesh ( Farooq Sheikh ). According to Kailash, Ramesh is now of marriageable age and should get married soon. He thus goes to see various girls gor his son but was disappointed from all of them as he feels that they all were too modern for his son.

The girls were modern, spoke English and listen to foreign music. Thus he concludes that Ramesh would live better with a girl who does not speak English and also belong to a village. The twist in the movie comes when Ramesh tells his father that he is already in love with an educated girl named Ramola ( Deepti Naval ). She is an English speaking Doctor and he knew that it would be very difficult for his father to approve her. So they come up with a plan to fool his father.
