The action movie Kismat was released on February 20, 2004 under the banner of Time Magnetics (India) Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Guddu Dhanoa and produced by Dhirajlal Shah and Hasmukh Shah. The significant roles in the movie were played by Bobby Deol, Aashish Vidyarthi, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Narvekar while the roles of Mushtaq Khan and Mohan Joshi were also important. Music of the film was directed by Anand Raj Anand and the songs were sung by Richa Sharma, Alka Yagnik, Gayatri Ganjawala and Shaan.

Time Magnetics (India) Pvt. Ltd produced a movie “The Hero” earlier featuring Sunny Deol in the lead while this time it is featuring the younger brother Bobby Deol as the lead in Kismat. The movie is also special to Priyanka Chopra who is playing the role of a lead heroine in the film for the first time after sharing screen with Preity Zinta in ‘The Hero’, Lara Dutta in ‘Andaaz’ and Sameera Reddy in ‘Plan’. The movie revolves around an orphan boy Tony ( Bobby Deol ) who has grown wandering in the streets after he was left by his uncle and aunt in the city.

Survival was not easy for Tony and the life taught him everything he needed to survive and grow. He learnt to live by his smartness and did everything from theft to loan recovery necessary to make his living. He earned himself a packet in a bout where he risked his life and decided to relax in an air-conditioned hall at a musical show. He fell in love with the singer Sapna ( Priyanka Chopra ) on the show. He started chasing her without realizing that while she is a rising showbiz star, he is a roadside soul.
