Kohra was a suspense thriller released in the year 1993 under the banner of Heera Int. The movie was directed by Partho Ghosh. The main roles in the movie were played by Arman Kohli, Ayesha Jhulka and Pran while some appreciable roles were played by Gulshan Grover, Tinu Anand and Sadashiv Amarapurkar. The music in the movie was given by Charanjit Ahuja while the singers were Amit Kumar, Sadhana Sargam, Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The lyrics were written by Dev Kohli and Sanjeev.

The story opens with two very close friends Nisha Rathod ( Ayesha Jhulka ) and Anand Sharma ( Arman Kohli ), who with their growing friendship fell in love and wanted to get married. Nisha’s father Kailash Nath Rathod ( Pran ) was a custom officer. On the other hand, Anand’s uncle Suryakant Sharma ( Kiran Kumar ) was a police inspector. The family members of both agreed for the marriage on a condition that Anand has to get employment in Police Department. Anand works hard and completes his training successfully to get his love.

He straightaway went to Nisha but to his shock he finds her making love with a man named Dr. Deepak Kaushal ( Deepak Saraf ). Nisha now wants him to go out of her life and all this was a shock for Anand. To test his would be son-in-law Suryakant assigns him cases related to underworld dons. Anand tries his best to solve the cases and later comes to know that Nisha’s refusal to marry him was related to these criminals. He was stunned when he comes to know about the real masterminds behind these criminals which also included his near and dear ones.
