Bollywood movie, Kranti, directed by Naresh Malhotra was released in the year 2002. The movie starred Bobby Deol and Amisha Patel in lead roles while Vinod Khanna, Rati Agnihotri and Kabir Bedi also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the film was given by music director duo Jatin Lalit and the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Amit Kumar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Udit Narayan, Asha Bhonsle, Kavita Krishnamurthy. The movie did average business at the box office.

The movie starts with Commissioner of Police, Awadesh Pratap Singh ( Vinod Khanna ), who is a very dedicated and honest officer. But the main problem with him is that he always follows the rule or law strictly. But his son, Abhay Pratap Singh ( Bobby Deol ), believes that the laws are not as important as removing crime from the society. Abhay only obeys his won rule ‘ No FIR no arrest no talk….faisla on the spot ‘. Though the afther and son thinks differently but loves wach other very much.

Abhay meets with a beautiful girl named Sanjana Roy ( Amisha Patel ), who is doing a thesis on Police departmant. Abhay falls in love with her so as she. Abhay founds that Mahendra Rana Pratap ( Kabir Bedi ), who is a business tycoon, is actually involved in some terrorist activities. He tries to collect evidence against Rana Pratap. But Rana farme him in a case and Abhay get imprisoned. But Abhay is desperate to come out and reveal the reality of Rana in front of his father and public.
