Bollywood movie, Krishna, directed by S. Deepak was released in the year 1996. The movie starred Suneil Shetty and Karishma Kapoor in the lead roles while Shakti Kapoor, Tinu Anand, Om Puri and Kulbhushan Kharbanda also played significant characters in the film. The music of the film was given by Anand Raj Anand and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik, Sadhna Sargam, Vinod Rathod. The movie did extremely well at the box office and also recieved positive reviews from the critics.

The movie starts with Krishna ( Suneil Shetty ), who comes out of the jail with the help of the Minister Amar Prabhakar ( Om Puri ). Krishna has the only motive of wiping out the drug lords from the society and the country. He joins the gang of Raja ( Shakti Kapoor ) to reach to the drug lord Cobra ( Tinu Anand ). He helps Raja in expanding his business so that he can come in the eyes of Cobra. He also meets Rashmi ( Karishma Kapoor ), who was his girlfriend in his past life when he was a pilot. Rashmi wants to know why Krishna has choosen the path of crime instead of living a normal life with her.

Krishna tells him, how he was framed and trapped for a crime he hasn’t committed. He also tells her how the Minister convinced him for the job of wiping out the drug lords of the country. After learning the story of Krishna, Rashmi also decides to help him in his mission. Krishan manages to reach to his target, Cobra and murders him. But soon he comes to know that the real culprit behind all the illegal activities including the drug business is none other than Minister Amar Prabhakar. Now what will he do to save himself from the cruel intentiosn of the minister?
