The devotional animation movie Krishna was released on September 29, 2006 under the banner of PEN & Shethia Audio Video. It was a religious movie based on Hindu mythology and was directed by Aman Khan. Since it was an animation movie it didn’t have any star cast involved. The music of the film was directed by Rajendra Shiv, Anupam Amod and Bapi.

Krishna was a yet another animation movie at the Box Office after Hanuman and Bhaggmati - The Queen of Fortunes, if we take it into consideration as it was partly live and partly animation. Hanuman was a great hit at the Box Office and for the success of the animations movie like these only good quality animation is required and of course with the story. Story of Krishna was great but the animation quality didn’t match up to it. The story of the movie is based upon the tale of Lord Krishna’s birth, his childhood, and elimination of evils like Kansa.

Once earth was filled with evil activities of Kansa and this was when Lord Vishnu decided to take birth to eradicate him. Lord took birth as son of Vasudev and Devaki and was named as Krishna. Kansa had killed all the children of Vasudev and Devaki but Vasudev somehow managed to keep Krishna at Nand and Yashodha’s place in Gokul. The movie displays the mischievous activities of Krishna, how he used to steal the butter and play the flute to attract the gopis. The movie also shows how Krishna handles the various evil spirits Kansa sent to kill him. The movie ends showing the elimination of evil power Kansa at the hands of Krishna though his help in Mahabharat is not shown.
