Bollywood action thriller, Kshatriya, written and directed by J.P. Dutta was released on March 26, 1993. the movie starred Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol and Divya Bharti in lead roles while Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Rakhee Gulzar, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Raveena Tandon, Kabir Bedi, Prem Chopra, Nafisa Ali and Puneet Issar also played important roles in the film. The music of the film was given by veteran music director jodi, Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Mohammed Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Lata Mangeshkar, Sadhana Sargam etc. The movie was a huge box office failure.

The movie starts with Vinay Pratap Singh ( Sunny Deol ) and Vikram Singh ( Sanjay Dutt ), who are two best friends studying at the same college. Vinay loves Neelima ( Raveena Tandon ) and Vikram loves Tanvi Singh ( Divya Bharti ). They are always ready to help each other. Vikram is always haunted by the voice of revolver and Vinay helps him in getting rid of this. After completing there education both returns to their home. Vinay returns to his family in Mitragarh while vikram returns to Surjangarh. But there is a surprise waiting for both of them at their home which will bring a huge turn in their life.

It is revealed to Vinay that his father had killed the parents of Vikram in his childhood and therefore he was haunted by the voice of shooting. Vikram also learns the truth. Both friends plan to meet each other and there they had a quarrel. Vinay is not willing to fight with his friend and therefore plans to leave that place. But when Vikram announces his fight with Suraj’s father, Maharaj Prithvi Singh ( Dharmendra ), Vinay once again returns to his home. Now both best friends ar readyto fight with each other and the fight will end only when oneof them will die.
