Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa was a romantic movie released on June 28, 2002 under the banner of Padmalaya Telefilms Ltd. The movie was directed by Sanjay Chhel and produced by G A Seshagiri Rao. The key roles in the movie were played by Tusshar Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Esha Deol and Raj Babbar while Neena Kulkarni and Smita Jaykar were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Sanjeevani, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Jaspinder Narula, Udit Narayan and Shaan.

The era of 1980s was ruled by the movies featuring Jeetendra and Hema Malini and now this is the time for Jeetendra’s son Tusshar Kapoor and Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol who are acting in the movie Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa, for the first time together. The movie starts with Rahul ( Tusshar Kapoor ), a young and dynamic guy living in New Zealand. He meets Esha ( Esha Deol ) in the college for the first time. Their friendship started with pranks played on her in the college and canteen.

The friendship between Rahul and Esha soon turns into love. Rahul falls for Esha’s simplicity and innocence whereas she liked his honesty and his fun loving and carefree attitude. While Esha is a typical Indian at heart, Rahul is a modern guy who wants to live his own life in his way. Rahul has also seen his parents’ ( Rajesh Khanna and Smita Jaykar ) dwindling relationship and thus has a different perspective towards marriage. This is the reason why he is not ready to marry Esha at the moment.
