Yesteryear bollywood hit, Lalkaar, directed by Ramanand Sagar was released in the year 1972. The movie starred Dharmendra, Rajendra Kumar and Mala Sinha in lead roles while Sujit Kumar, Dara Singh, Kumkum and Nasir Hussain also played important roles in the movie. The music of the film was given by famous music director duo Kalyanji- Anandji while the songs were sung by Mohammed Rafi, Mahendra Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle and Manhar Udhas. The movie was a box office hit and went on to become one of the biggest hit of that year.

The movie starts with Wing Commander Rajan Kapoor ( Rajendra Kumar ), who is in love with a beautiful girl named Usha Chaudhary ( Mala Sinha ). Rajan’s younger brother, Major Ram Kapoor ( Dharmendra ) meets with Usha and falls in love with her unknown to the fact that Usha and Raja are in love with each other. When Ram comes to know about this, he takes his steps back. Rajan and Usha plans to get married but unfortunately before marraige Rajan is ordered to go on a secret mission to provide information about enemy’s locations to Indian Army.

Ram and Usha gets the news of Rajan’s death while completing his mission. Both get shocked but Ram stables himself to give consolation to Usha. After some time, Ram’s father asks Usha to get married with Ram. But Usha alongwith Ram refused to this. Ram is then sent to a mission with few of his collegues. Usha also ask him to take her alongwith with him. Ram first refuses but later accepts. They all leaves for there destination. But will Ram will be able to complete his task? What about Ram and Usha’s relation?
