Songs of Lashkar
The action movie Lashkar was released on September 1, 1989. The movie was directed by Jagdishi Kadar and produced by Jai Sharma. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Dev Anand, Sumeet Sehgal, Madhvi and Aditya Pancholi while the presence of Sonam, Hemant Birje, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kiran Kumar, Javed Jaffrey and Neeta supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Usha Khanna while the songs were sung by Mohammed Aziz, Manhar Udhas, Vinod Rathod, Alisha Chinai, Kavita Krishnamoorty and Sarika Kapoor.
The movie Lashkar was an action movie as is clear from its title. The story of the movie revolves around a rich man named Anand ( Dev Anand ) who is a professor from profession. He lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay with his wife ( Madhavi ), son, Raju, and a sister, Barkha ( Sonam ). Barkha was supposed to get married soon to a Police Inspector named Sumeet ( Sumeet Saigal ). The twist in the story comes when a drug deal was about to occur in the city.
Anand gets to know about the drug deal through Raghu and with the help of Inspector Sumeet, Anand gets Sangram Singh ( Kiran Kumar ) arrested but he was not proved guilty in the court. Then it was Sangram’s turn for sure. Sumeet resigns, and subsequently, Sangram’s men break into Anand’s house. Anand’s wife gets killed and his daughter Barkha gets hospitalized and loses her memory. Sumeet and Anand makes use of Bhima ( Hemant Birje ), Amar ( Aditya Pancholi ), and Johnny ( Javed Jaffrey ) to take revenge from Sangram.
