Lekin was musical drama released on October 11, 1991. The movie was directed by Kailash Advani and Gulzar while the producers were Nitish Roy and Lata Mangeshkar. The lead roles in the movie were played by Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Amjad Khan and Alok Nath. Other nice roles were played by Beena, Manohar Singh and Hema Malini. The music of the movie was given by Hridayanath Mangeshkar while the singers were Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Suresh Wadkar. The lyricist was Gulzar.

The movie’s story is quite confusing to understand at the first go and is related to spirits and ghosts. Samir Yogi ( Vinod Khanna ) is on a tour to visit the palace of Raja Param Singh and pen down the items that are there in the palace and their approximate cost. He on his journey to the place via train allows a lady to enter his compartment and soon he was in sleep. When he wakes up he finds her missing. When he reaches near the castle he finds the same women and she lets him in the palace.

In the palace he goes into flashback to witness a scene and after that again finds the girl missing. He tells this all to his boss, Shafi and wife and both suggest him to wear amulets as spirits are behind him. He again meets the women and this time in a desert and after that he goes missing. Shafi sends his men in search of Samir and he is found in a nearly dead state. What might have happened to him and who that woman is? The story is an absolute interesting one.

The songs in the movie are:
1.    Ja Ja Re
2.    Jhoothe Naina
3.    Kesariya Balma
4.    Main Ek Sadi Se
5.    Sunio Ji Ek Araj
6.    Surmai Shaam
