Love 86 was a musical and romantic film released on February 14, 1986. The movie was directed by Esmayeel Shroff and produced by Pranlal Mehta. The important roles in the film were played by Govinda, Rohan Kapoor,  Neelam Kothari, and Farha while the roles of Tanuja, Satish Shah, Johny Lever, Shafi Inamdaar, Ravi Baswani and Asrani were also important. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Shabbir Kumar, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shailendra Singh, Suresh Wadkar and Amit Kumar.

Love 86 was a great romantic and musical film that was able to grip the attention of the audience. The story of the movie revolved mostly around a woman named Laxmidevi ( Tanuja ) who is a strict and disciplinary mother. She lives in a large house and rules it like her kingdom with no one to speak in front of her. She has two daughters, both of whom are of marriageable age and were required to get married soon. The elder one is Leena ( Farha ) while the younger one is Isha ( Neelam Kothari ).

Laxmidevi wanted to get her both the daughters married to two brothers from a good and decent family so that both Leena and Isha remain together with each other always. But the fate of both the girls had something else in store for them. They were not interested in marrying the chosen grooms and one day fell in love with Omi ( Rohan Kapoor ) and Vikram Doshi ( Govinda ) who are small time thieves. They are orphaned guys who come from poor families.
