Bollywood romantic comedy family drama, Love In Simla, directed by R. K. Nayyar and written by Agha Jani Kashmiri was released in the year 1960. The movie starred Joy Mukherjee and Sadhana Shivdasani in lead roles while Durga Khote, Azra, Kiran Kumar, Master Ramesh, Ravi Tandon, Vijaylakshmi, Kishore sahu and hari Shivdasani also played important characters in the film. The melodious evergreem music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director Iqbal Qureshi while the songs were crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Shamshad Begum, Usha Khanna, Asha Bhonsle, Suman Kalyanpur etc.

Sonia ( Sadhana Shivdasani ) moves into her aunt’s house to live after the death of her parents. Sonia is a plain looking girl like her mother and always critisized by her aunt and cousin-sister, Sheela ( Azra ) for this. But she never takes their negative remarks to her heart. But finally one day she get fed up of these continous taunts and decides to prove them that she can allure any man. Sonia learns that Sheela has a boyfriend named Dev Kumar Mehra ( Joy Mukherjee ), who is a really handsome guy.

Sonia challenges to Sheela that she will make Dev fall in love with her. Sheela is sure that her simple or plain look will not even make a dumb man to fall for her. So she accepts Sonia’s challenge. Sonia changes her look and becomes an attractive women. She soon make Dev fall in love with her. But problem arises when Sheela tell Dev that Sonia is playing with his emotions only to win a challange. What will happen now?
