The patriotic movie Maa Tujhhe Salaam was released on January 25, 2002. The movie was directed by Tinu Verma and produced by Mahendra Dhariwal. The major roles in the movie were played by Sunny Deol, Arbaaz Khan, Tabu and Monal while Rajat Bedi and Malaika Arora were there in the movie in special appearances. Music of the film was directed by Sajid-Wajid while the songs were sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Udit Narayan, Shankar Mahadevan, Asha Bhosle, Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan.

As the name of the movie suggests, Maa Tujhhe Salaam was a patriotic movie like Gadar and Indian and one can see Sunny Deol in the role of a National Hero once again. The movie was directed by Tinu Verma who is Sunny Deol’s favorite action coordinator. The story of the movie revolves mostly around Indian military officer, Major Pratap Singh ( Sunny Deol ) who single handedly aborted the attempt of infiltration of the enemy nation at a place located near border of India, only with the help of a few local civilians.

At a very high place Zhonabad, lived a very influential man Lala ( Tinu Verma ) whose ancestors were the landlords of the place. But he helped the enemy nation to spread its terrorist activities. There is an illiterate man Albaksh ( Arbaaz Khan ) working like a slave for him without knowing that Lala is indulging in anti-national activities. Captain Sonia ( Tabu ) gets to know about him and thus informs the military about him. Military orders Major Pratap to keep a watch on Lala and his slave in Zhonabad.
