The musical drama Main Aisa Hi Hoon was released on May 6, 2005 under the banner of Baweja Movies. The movie was directed by Harry Baweja and produced by Pammi Baweja. The significant roles in the movie were played by Ajay Devgan, Esha Deol, Sushmita Sen and Vikram Gokhale while the roles of Anupam Kher and Baby Rucha Vaidya were also important. Music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Shreya Ghosal and Sunidhi Chauhan.

The movie was earlier thought to be titled as “Dil Mera Todo Naa” before decided upon as “Main Aisa Hi Hoon”. The movie displays a man who is an adult from physique but inside him remain a small child. The role is perfectly executed by Ajay Devgan after the same thing was shown by Hrithik Roshan in “Koi Mil Gaya”. it is the story about Indraneel Thakur or Neel ( Ajay Devgan ) in whom lies the brain of a small child. He is liked by everyone due to his simplicity and innocence. He loves his seven year old daughter Gungun ( Baby Rucha Vaidya ) very much and even more than himself.

Gungun’s mother and Neel’s wife Maya Trivedi ( Esha Deol ) had left them just after giving birth to Gungun and after those seven wonderful years, Neel and Gungun love each other so much that it would not be possible to measure it. Their world was just perfect until Gungun’s birthday eve when Maya’s father Dayanath Trivedi ( Anupam Kher )entered the house. Dayanath filed a case against him for illegal custody of the child. Neel was shattered and wanted a lawyer to fight the case, thus he comes across Neeti Khanna ( Sushmita Sen ).
