Bollywood movie, Main Hoon Na, directed by Farah Khan was released on April 30, 2004. Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Sushmita Sen played the lead roles while Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao and Naseeruddin Shah played significant roles in the film. The hit music of the film was given by Anu Malik and Ranjit Barot. The movie was distributed under tha banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie was highly appreciated by the audiences as well as by critics and went on to become a huge box-office success. The film recieved ten Filmfare nomination and ended up winning only one.

The movie starts with Major Ram Prasad Sharma ( Shahrukh Khan ), who is send to protect Army General’s daughter Sanjana ( Amrita Arora ). He takes admission in Sanjana’s college as as student who is returning to college after many years away taking care of the family business to complete his eductaion. Terrorist Raghavan ( Sunil Shetty ) is after Sanjana so thata he can stop Project Milap. Major Ram is also there to mend relations with his father’s first wife and her son Lakshman aka Lucky ( Zayed Khan ).

Ram is much older than the other students and therefore the other students make fun of him. Ram saves Lucky from falling down from college building. After that he becomes a sensation among the students and teachers. He also befirends Lucky, who is not known to the fact that Ram is his elder brother, and Sanjana. Ram also meets the young and beautiful teacher Chandni ( Sushmita Sen ) and falls in love with her. But despite being involved in all these matters, Ram is still quite attentive towards his major task of protecting Sanjana from Raghvan.
