The romantic drama Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon was released on June 27, 2003 under the banner of Rajshri Productions Pvt Ltd. The movie was directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajkumar Barjatya. The actors in the key roles were Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Pankaj Kapoor while there were special appearances by Ruby Bhatia and Javed Jaffrey. Music of the film as directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Chitra, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, K K and Kareena Kapoor.

Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon is a movie full of coincidences, there are two guys in the movie both having the same name. They both are in love but with the same girl. The romantic story is based on the mistaken identities. The story of the movie revolves around Sanjana ( Kareena Kapoor ) living in Sunder Nagar with her parents Satya Prakash ( Pankaj Kapoor ) and Susheela ( Himani Shivpuri ). She has an elder sister Roopa ( Tanaz Currim ) who is married and settled in U.S. Sanjana also had two strange pets parrot Raja and dog Johnny.

Sanjana’s mother was a typical Indian woman who wanted a perfect guy for her daughter. She found one in Prem ( Hrithik Roshan ) who was just going to visit their house for some time. He was a completely different guy but he always go well with her as she liked his true identity. The matters complex when Prem’s boss, also known as Prem ( Abhishek Bachchan ) enters the scene. Now Susheela wanted him as the husband for her daughter.
