The romantic action movie Maine Dil Tujhko Diya was released on August 23, 2002. The movie was directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Bunty Walia. The important roles in the movie were played by Sohail Khan, Kabir Bedi, Sameera Reddy and Neeraj Vora while Sanjay Dutt and Rajpal Yadav can also be seen in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Dabboo Malik and the songs were sung by Jordy Patel, Anuradha Paudwal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam.

The story of the movie revolves around a business magnate of Mumbai, Mr. Verma ( Kabir Bedi ) who loves his two daughters very much and has brought up both of them single handedly with all the love and protection in the world. He was unaware when his love for his elder daughter Ayesha ( Sameera Reddy ) turned into over protectiveness. On the first day of her college Ayesha comes across Ajay ( Sohail Khan ), an orphan studying with her.

Ajay’s group “Aryans”, in the college was considered the top group and was given the responsibility of handling the security of the college while protecting the students from external bad people. Ajay helps Ayesha ease out on her college life and this selfless quality of his finds her attracted towards him. Ajay’s and Ayesha’s closeness came into the notice of Chopra ( Dalip Tahil ) who is Verma’s business associate. Chopra warns Verma about him and also draws a negative image of his into Verma’s eyes.
