The family drama Majaal was released on April 3, 1987. The movie was directed by K Bapaiah and produced by Shrikant Nahata. The significant roles in the movie were enacted by Jeetendra, Jaya Prada, Sridevi and Prem Chopra while the roles of Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Kader Khan were also important. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle and Mohammad Aziz.

The movie Majaal was a family cum social drama that was able to grip the audience for the long time with its intresting and real story and acting of the characters involved in the film. The story of the movie mostly revolved around an orphan named Vijay Kumar ( Jeetendra ) who was by Advocate Chaudhary Kailash Nath ( Kader khan ). His father has a good effect on him and this is the reason why he chose to be the lawyer himself.

Vijay was in deep love with Kailash Nath’s daughter Sadhna ( Sridevi ) and both got married to each other. The twist in the story comes when Vijay wanted to stand upon his own feet but was discouraged by his wife and father-in-law. Also there are times when he was humiliated by them. One day he comes across a beautiful girl Sandhya ( Jaya Prada ) and wanted to support her and thus was willing to move out of his married life.
