Bollywood romantic drama, Majhdhaar, directed by Esmayeel Shroff and written by Salim Khan was released on March 29, 1996. The movie starred Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala in lead roles while Rahul Roy, Rakesh Sharma, Malvika Tiwari, Raj babbar, Rajeev Verma and Mukesh Rawal also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon music director duo Anand-Milind and Anil Mohile in collaboration while the songs were crooned by Kumar Sanu, S. P. Balasubramaniam, Vinod Rathod, Pankaj Udhas, Alka Yagnik, Mohammed Aziz and Udit Narayan.

The movie starts with Krishna ( Rahul Roy ), who is a judge by profession. He is in love witha beautiful girl named Radha ( Manisha Koirala ). But their parents refuse to givethem the permission to get married because of a big difference in Krishan and Radha’s caste. But still, Krishna and Radha continue to meet with each other. They also develops physical relationship with each other and as a result of which Radha gets pregnant. The another guy named Gopal ( Salman Khan ) enters in Radha’s life. Gopal falls in love with her but Rahda is still in love with Krishna only.

Krishna and Rahda make their last attempt to covince their parnest for their marriage but once again fails. Radha is then forced to get married to Gopal by her parents. Radha marries with Gopal and soon gives birth to a child. After the birth of the child, Radha leaves Gopal and the child. Now no one knows where Rahda is residing. Krishna meets with Gopal and befriends him unknown to the fact that he is the person with whom Radha get married to.
