Bollywood movie, Man Ki Aankhein, directed by Raghunath Jhalani was released in the year 1970. The movie starred Dharmendra and Waheeda Rehman in lead roles while Lalita Pawar, Manmohan Krishna, Sujit Kumar and Brahm Bhardwaj also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by veteran music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Suman Kalyanpur etc.

Beautiful Geeta aka Guddi ( Waheeda Rehman ) is the daughter of the school master, Dinanath ( Manmohan Krishna ). Rajesh Aggarwal ( Dharmendra ) is one of his ex-student, who has arrived in the same village to look after his fruit business. Rajesh and Geeta meets with each other. Soon they fall in love with each other and decides to get married. Rajesh wants to get married with Geeta first and then to inform his mother as he is afraid of the fact that his mother will not permit him to marry a poor girl whose family can not arrange for a big dowry.

Rajesh and Geeta get married in a simple ceremony. Rajesh then depart for Delhi alongwith Geeta hoping that his mother will give-in and accept Geeta. A few days later, Dinanath recieves a letter from Geeta informing him that she is living a happy life with his husband an his family. Dinanath decides to visit Rajesh house to meet Geeta but shocked to see the condition of Geeta in his house.
