The movie Manorama Six Feet Under was released on September 21, 2007 under the banner of Shemaroo Entertainment. The thriller movie has been directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Ketan Maroo. The lead heroes and heroines in the film are Abhay Deol, Raima Sen and Gul Panag while Vinay Pathak and Kulbhushan Kharbanda were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Jayesh Gandhi and Raiomond Mirza while the songs were sung by Roop Kumar Rathod, Kailash Kher, Zubeen Garg, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Richa Sharma.

The movie is based on the genre of thriller but it becomes difficult for the viewers many times to understand what was going in the movie. The main reason for this was the sequence of the proceedings that occurred and that is the reason why movie took off well but can’t get hold of the viewers later on. The story of the movie is about a recreational detective that is new to this profession, belongs to a small village and gets surrounded by the ills of lies, dishonesty and murders. The story is about a man called SV ( Abhay Deol ) from a small town but with big dreams.

SV has always dreamt of writing detective fictions and in spite of him being a government engineer, he can always manage time for it. His very first attempt of writing a novel didn’t prove worthy as the detective fiction novel named Manorama didn’t rise up to expectations. Life took a good turn for him when a wife of a politician offered him to act as a real detective by spying on her husband. SV didn’t want to miss the opportunity at any cost. SV soon finds that the lady with the offer was not what she had claimed. Soon the woman also got killed in an accident making things worse for him.
