Bollywood movie, Man Pasand, directed by Basu Chatterjee was released on June 11, 1980. The movie starred Dev Anand and Tina Munim in lead roles while Mehmood, Girish Karnad, Jalal Agha, Simple Kapadia, Birbal and Leela Mishra also played important characters in the film. The music of the movie was directed by none other than famous music director Rajesh Roshan while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar and Mehmood. The movie managed to do average business at the box office.

The movie starts with young and beautiful, Kamli ( Tina Munim ), who belongs to a very poor family and the whole family is living a very bad life. Kamli tries to make some earning by selling ‘datun’ in the local trains. But this is not enough for her to make her family and herself live a relaxed and happy life. A young guy named Pratap ( Dev Anand ) meets with Kamli during his journey in the train. He get impressed by her nature and hardworking.

Pratap decides to educate her to which she readily agrees. Pratap starts teaching her everyday and pays special attention to her which made Kamli think that Pratap is in love with her. But there is bid secret about Pratap which she still doesn’t know and the one which will change her relationship with Pratap totally. What is the truth Pratap is hiding and why?
