The adventure and comedy movie Mardon Wali Baat was released on January 22, 1988. The movie was directed as well as produced by Brij. The lead roles in the movie were enacted by Dharmendra, Sanjay Dutt, Jaya Prada and Danny Denzongpa while the roles of Shabana Azmi, Preeti Sapru, Satish Kaul, Pinchoo Kapoor and Shammi were equally important. The music of the film was directed by R D Burman while the songs were sung by Suresh Wadkar, Asha Bhosle and S.P.Balasubramaniam.

The story of the comedy movie Mardon Wali Baat revolved mostly around two guys named Yadvinder Singh ( Dharmendra ) and his brother Tinku ( Sanjay Dutt ) who have taken crime as their career in India. They were so perfect in their crime that they have always managed to fool the police and escape from their traps. The twist in the story comes when they receive a letter from a blackmailer reading that there is evidence that can send them to jail for a long time.

To protect themselves, they need to go to a village named Kashipur and protect a boy named Rahul and other villagers from being killed by a gang of bandits led by Raja Sunder Singh ( Danny Denzongpa ). This mail got them in fear, so they decided to visit the village and follow the instructions of the blackmailer. They travel to Kashipur and tell the villagers that they are police officers in plainclothes sent to protect them against bandits. Villagers also accept them for their purpose.
