The movie Marigold: An Adventure in India was released on August 17, 2007 under the banners of Adlabs Films Ltd and Becker Films international. It’s a romantic film directed by Willard Carroll and produced by Tom Wilhite and Charles Salmon. The actors in main roles were Salman Khan, Ali Larter, Helen and Nandana Sen while roles of Gulshan Grover, Rakesh Bedi and Roopak Saluja were also important. The music was directed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy whereas the songs were sung by Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Vikas Bhalla, Nikita Nigam and Ali Larter.

Marigold is a romantic movie with glimpse of comedy and love songs. The movie is about a young American girl and an Indian guy. The movie displays the fact that love knows no boundary of country and religion and can happen to anyone. The American lady named Marigold Lexton ( Ali Larter ) travels to india and had no idea of how her life will turn due to her experiences and journey in India. The movie begins when the actress Marigold is standing in India with no luggage with her. She is also in short of money and so can’t return back.

Marigold is an actress by profession and to earn money so that she can return home, she accepted a role in a Bollywood musical movie. She come across Prem ( Salman Khan ), the choreographer of the film. As one could guess, it was very difficult for her to dance on Indian tracks. She started loving Prem for his understanding nature. Marigold come to know about his fiancé Jaanvi ( Nandana Sen ), who is an Indian girl living in Los Angeles. Later Jaanvi realizes that Prem didn’t love her. Then there is an entry of Marigold’s boyfriend Barry ( Ian Bohen ) who finds her deeply in love with Prem.
